  Paulina Susana Rubio Dosamantes is a Mexican singer, daughter of the actress Susana Dosamantes and the lawyer of Spanish descent Enrique Rubio González. In April 2007, she married the Spanish Nicolás Vallejo-Nájera, Colate, with whom she had a son in 2010 and from whom she is currently separated.

  From a very young age, Paulina Rubiio learned singing, acting, dancing and painting, which she studied at the Center for Artistic Education. Tucked in by her mother, as Paulina Rubiio herself says: "I've been famous since I was born."

  In 1982, she joined the children's group La Banda Timbiriche. Over the years her music became more adolescent and youthful, like herself.

  Her first successes as a soloist of hers come in 1992, when she releases her first album under the EMI Music record label, with the title La Chica Dorada, which manages to be triple gold and platinum for more than 700 000 copies sold in Mexico. The next important record of hers was 24 Kilates.

  Starting in the year 2000, she began to conquer the international market, especially the United States, with Planeta Paulina.

  In 2004 she released the album Pau-Latina and in 2006 Ananda, which were her definitive accolade. In 2011 she released the LP ¡Brava!.
