VLC lento

There is no doubt that when we talk about playing multimedia files on PC, VLC player is the most used by all… it is light, fast, has great compatibility and, above all, it is free. However, VLC is not exempt from problems, and if you notice that when playing any video it seems slow (with lag, stuttering, tearing or even skipping frames), we'll tell you what you should do to fix it.

Of course, and before getting into the matter, you must make sure that the video format is compatible with VLC... this player is compatible with practically any format, but it doesn't hurt to make sure first. All that aside, don't worry if your processor is low-power or relatively old, because it should be able to play your videos smoothly in VLC, even if it's at 4K resolution.

Solution if the video works slow in VLC
First of all, you should keep in mind that by default VLC uses hardware acceleration to speed up video playback, which means that it makes use of your graphics card. If your PC has weak integrated graphics, this may be causing slow video in VLC, so try turning it off (you can always re-enable it later if you see that this wasn't the problem). ).
