Love Pulse Posted April 6, 2022 Posted April 6, 2022 https://www.msn.com/ar-ae/news/featured/بعد-طول-انتظار-تويتر-يعمل-على-خاصية-تعديل-التغريدات/ar-AAVUFr6?li=BBqrI8k Twitter has confirmed that it is working on a new button that will allow users to edit tweets after they have been posted. It comes after the new board member, Tesla CEO, Elon Musk, asked his followers in a Twitter poll if they wanted the feature. The edit button has long been claimed by many users but there are concerns about how to implement it. Twitter said it would begin testing the idea in the coming months. The social media company's media team tweeted: "Now that everyone is asking...Yes, we've been working on the tweet editing feature since last year!" "No, we didn't get the idea through a poll ??," he added. "We will begin testing the feature in Twitter Blue Labs in the coming months to see what works, what doesn't, and what's possible," the team continued. Users of Twitter Blue, a Twitter subscription-based service, are getting early access to the features the company is testing. With the edit feature, users can fix typos or errors in their Tweet without erasing them and returning other books, thus losing any replies or likes to the original Tweet. Jay Sullivan, the company's vice president of consumer products, said the edit feature was "the most requested feature on Twitter for many years" in a series of tweets Tuesday. However, he noted that the company was exploring how to create the feature in a "secure way". "Without things like timelines and transparency around editing, the editing feature can be misused to change the direction of the public conversation," he added. "Protecting the integrity of that public conversation is our highest priority," he added. During a talk in 2018, former Twitter chief Jack Dorsey said the company would "probably never add" the feature amid concerns about transparency. But rival social media platforms Facebook and Instagram allow users to edit their posts, and new Twitter chief Parag Agrawal appears to be open to the idea.
