ISTANBUL (Reuters) - Turkish Finance Minister Nureddin Nabati said on Friday that the only problem facing the Turkish economy was inflation and that his country had achieved significant growth and the current account deficit had decreased.

 

Nabati also said, in an interview with Haberturk TV, that Ankara was able to reach a competitive exchange rate with the stability of the dollar,

 

adding that the meetings he held with investors in London this week were

 

"fantastic."

 

He said that the government will take further steps to bring the gold held by the Turks into the financial system, and he expected quantities of gold estimated at

 

$25 billion to be pumped into the veins of the economy as a result.
