We want to do our bit ”. This Thursday the EUDEL Ordinary Assembly was held in Mungia, the first in person since the beginning of the pandemic, with topics on the table ranging from the application of capital gains to the search for joint action in the face of the climate emergency. Eudel has proposed to the Basque city councils to share a roadmap with 15 tractor projects against climate change. The president of EUDEL and mayor of Vitoria-Gasteiz, Gorka Urtaran, stressed that "the planet cannot wait any longer and therefore we have to make much more ambitious decisions and in a faster way. Eudel and the Basque municipalities also want to contribute our grain of sand ". Urtaran explained in "Ganbara" of Radio Euskadi and Radio Vitoria that "Eudel and the Basque municipalities participate in the 2030 agenda of Euskadi. We incorporated 15 projects to that agenda to be promoting from the different municipal networks both from the social field to guarantee the equality of people or well-being as well as from the economic sphere to improve competitiveness in our municipalities, and also from the environmental sphere to make environments much more respectful with the environment and much more sustainable ". Regarding the capital gains tax, he hopes that "by the end of this month of November we can have a solution that allows the municipalities to reactivate this tax. In the coming months the necessary adaptation will be made in a more calm and thoughtful way." He has also stated that "the Christmas programming is being designed normally but we will see how the pandemic evolves. Hopefully we will not have to adapt the Christmas programming due to the increase in cases. I hope it does not have to happen and we are all responsible."
