The San Sebastián Musical Fortnight, the Soriano Autumn Festival and Musikaste are some of the most outstanding events in the repertoire of performances programmed by the Young Orchestra of Euskal Herria (EGO) for the coming months, which will begin after their usual summer meeting . As reported in a note, after the change of model and the management team last year, marked by the pandemic, the EGO faces 2021 "with an intense and ambitious programming" with "projects and programs in new settings and contexts." A new stage "marked by the repositioning of the project and the diversification and intensification of its own activity", which will lead the orchestra to collaborate with directors and soloists of the highest international level and to participate in important music festivals, "raising the standards of quality and taking it to the threshold of professionalism. " The EGO activity will start with its usual "summer meeting", which will culminate with a tour that will take them to the Euskalduna Palace in Bilbao (July 25), to the Principal Theater of Vitoria (July 26), to the Victoria Eugenia Theater in San Sebastián (July 27) and the Itsas Etxea Auditorium in Hondarribia (July 28), with a program dedicated to Mozart and Brahms. Likewise, the EGO will attend the Musical Fortnight on August 8, the Soriano Autumn Festival (September 19) and the Errenteria Musikaste festival (October 23).
