EvKirito
A mound of remains of asphalt left by the Ministry of Public Works (MOPC) in the middle of the street caused an accident between five vehicles in the overpass of February 27 with Tiradentes avenue, around 2:00 in the afternoon of this Sunday. The incident occurred when a driver abruptly braked when he came face-to-face with the pile, which has two caution signs above it, causing several cars to crash. All the drivers, except one, left the scene, leaving the last and most affected in the middle of the road. A crane from the General Directorate of Traffic Safety and Land Transport (Digesett) took the car, while the 911 Emergency System personnel who attended to the people who were in the vehicle verified that none were injured. The pile of rubble is placed in front of a concrete-filled hole in the middle of the street, and two triangles have been placed on top of it as a precaution for drivers. The same overpass was recently paved as part of the repair work carried out by Public Works on avenue 27 and Las Américas with its tunnels and elevated.
