Back MaN
The essence of Ibizan 'flower power' flooded Madrid this Thursday by the hand of two of its most famous icons: Pacha Ibiza and the designer Charo Ruiz, with the presentation of a capsule collection, within the actions to celebrate Charo's 30 years Ruiz Ibiza. It is a proposal made up of 18 pieces for women and girls, which is already available both on the websites of the two brands participating in this project and in the Charo Ruiz Ibiza stores and in those of the Pacha brand: "It has made me I am very happy to adapt some of the women's models to the size of a girl, in such a way that it is suitable for the grandmothers who lived in those times, for our daughters and, of course, for our granddaughters ". “Designing these garments has been pure adrenaline and also a great honor. Remembering how she danced barefoot at the Espalmador parties, in Formentera, more than 30 years ago, has been very moving. I have been able to go through that part of my life and encapsulate it in this proposal ”, he concludes. The collection, for women and girls, made up of dresses, tops, skirts, caftans and other characteristic garments of the brand, also features another iconic woman: Minerva Portillo. The Spanish top model, portrayed by photographer Álvaro Gracia, stars in a campaign carried out in an authentic country house on the white island. And Charo Ruiz explains the reason for this choice: "Her career, her vision of fashion. Minerva is feminine, magnetic, Mediterranean, fun. She is one of those people who knows how to identify the real pleasures of life and communes perfectly with the values of both brands and especially with the Ibiza brand ". White, of course, is the main color of this proposal, in which the bougainvillea tone and a fascinating tie dye print also shine. The solid colored garments are made of 100% cotton and finished in guipure and the print garments, in viscose. They are fabrics that, thanks to their spectacular movement, seem to dance on their own. The deep necklines that expose the shoulders, the sleeves worked with gathered and ruffles, the maxi dresses, the flowing tunics and the asymmetrical lengths are key. All this, together with the 'made in Ibiza', with that carefree and even naive air that characterizes it so much: “We have bet, above all, on fresh and youthful pieces, and also on other more conventional ones, but always working on volumes in skirts , sleeves and necklines to give them great movement ”, says the designer. Among those invited to the presentation, we could see Miranda Makaroff, Fiona Ferrer, Clara Courel, Paloma Barrientos, Rosa Villacastin, Marta Robles, Ana Antic, Cristina Reyes or Mónica Martín Luque. All of them, friends of the creator and fans of her quintessential Ibizan style.
