IRON FORCE is an online, arcade-style, multiplayer tank battle game. Using simple controls, you have to destroy enemy tanks before they destroy you. Players can even pick up piles of in-game money or special weapons from the wreckage of their enemies. There isn’t a story. Once you go through training with a rather buxom and inappropriately dressed soldier named Eda, it's pretty much kill or be killed, with no explanation as to why you're trying to destroy those other tanks.

As multiplayer tank battle games go, Iron Force is OK. The controls are rather clunky, which makes it difficult (though hardly impossible) to get a real bead on your enemies or to escape them when they're bearing down on you. The lack of human characters and casualties is a mixed bag: There are no deaths to witness, but combat is totally unrealistic. Some fans also might balk at its delays, such as how it takes a moment for your main gun to reload. Still others might feel the game is rather greedy, always asking for money and often for silly stuff. But if you're forgiving, patient, and frugal and would like to blow up friends and strangers using heavily artillery, Iron Force is worth checking out.
