The new Ducati 959 Panigale 2020 is now ready to be presented at the Milan Motor Show.

We doubted if Ducati would launch a smaller V4 for its "little Panigale" or, on the contrary, the current V2 would evolve. A few months ago we saw that the path chosen by the Italian brand had been the latter and now we have been able to hunt it again.

It was there for the month of May when we could verify, for the first time, that the Ducati 959 Panigale 2020 would maintain its V2 engine configuration. At the moment the small uvecuatro derived from the one currently using Panigale V4 would not be available in the little sister.

A few months later, back in July, we could see her again contemplating some very interesting details. Everything seemed to indicate that many components of the cycle part had been transferred almost directly from V4 to V2. And even the swingarm, single arm, had shapes very similar to that of the already missing 1299.

This change is very important because it has been more than ten years since Ducati, in his mid-range sports, did not resort to a swingarm. The last of this style was the Ducati 848 and now it seems that it will again have this hallmark that quickly differentiates it from the competition.

Turning to the photos that accompany this article and published by Visordown colleagues, we are already facing the definitive version of the Ducati 959 Panigale 2020. The clearest reason is the escape, already definitive, with an exit at the level of the right footrest . Even with camouflage we can see some lines almost traced to those of his older sister V4.

The photo version is, in view of the equipment, the most basic of all. In parallel (or shortly thereafter) almost certainly there will be a more equipped Ducati 959 Panigale S (Öhlins suspensions, advanced electronics, brakes, etc.). On October 23, Ducati plans to present the news for 2020 and surely this Ducati 959 Panigale 2020 will be among them.
