Let's relax this Twixmas - before the Brexit chaos kicks off again

We thought it would be over by Christmas. They said it would be. But it isn’t, and so has this become the year we lost our innocence, and stopped believing politicians.

And all without so much as a traumatic phone call from Donald Trump. Sure, we might have been marginal; but was that really so bad?

Either way, here we are, stranded in the No Man’s Land between 2018 and 2019 and instead of the whole Brexit imbroglio being sorted, it has merely been in abeyance.
