"We reject the systematic and interventionist actions of the Secretary General of the OAS and of some countries that intend to attack the sovereignty, self-determination and constitutional order of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and other countries in which their peoples have decided to govern themselves without tutelage of any kind, which would result in the destabilization of the region, "said the agency through a statement that emerged in the framework of the XVII meeting of the Political Council Alba-TCP that was held on Thursday, November 8 in Managua, Nicaragua. The Alba also expressed its full support to the government and people of Venezuela, a country that continues to "resist the economic and financial blockade promoted by the United States that prevents it from acquiring food and medicine for its people." "Unilateral sanctions that the United States; the European Union and Canada have imposed on the Venezuelan people, they have strengthened the Bolivarian Revolution and its people. Venezuela will continue worthily resisting and defeating the Empire and its allies, "reads the statement. The organization composed of Venezuela, Cuba, Bolivia, Ecuador, Nicaragua, Dominica, Antigua and Barbuda, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Saint Lucia, Saint Kitts and Nevis, and Grenada, reiterated that it promotes the construction of a new international order, just, Equitable and inclusive, "where there are no empires or hegemonies and relations between States are based on respect for the peoples and institutions chosen by them and the diverse cultures that coexist in the world." Among the conclusions arising from this meeting, they also reiterated the international community's demand that the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States on Cuba since 1962 be lifted unconditionally, "a measure that affects the Cuban people and that Extraterritoriality affects all States.
