- !el Catire *O* Posted September 27, 2018 Posted September 27, 2018 The anniversary of Google is giving a lot, and is that not every day the most important technology in the world turns 20 years. There are several Easter Eggs that have hidden throughout the length and breadth of their services, one of them particularly interesting: a virtual visit to the garage where Google started. You can do it from Google Street View, and it's very curious because the company has tried to recreate the garage to perfection, as it was in September 1998. Since then a lot has rained and everything has changed. This garage was owned by Susan Wojcicki, current executive director of YouTube. There Sergey Brin and Larry Page took the first steps to create what would first be the most important web search engine on the planet and then a multinational company of epic dimensions. The first office of Google hides many secrets in itself, although in fact the most curious thing of all is to snoop between the many technological articles of the 90s that are scattered by it, like floppy disk or computers that today would pass for retro. It is worth missing for a good while to get an idea of how we have all changed, not just Google, since this company was created. In fact the question would be how much of what we have changed is precisely due to the existence of Google, its search engine and its subsequent creations. In these 20 years Google has changed the world, that is beyond doubt. With projects such as the search engine or Android have achieved that all users with access to the Internet use at least one of their tools, and that gives them power and influence over a large part of the world's po[CENSORED]tion. Of course, they have also had their stumbles. And yet, as you can see in this virtual tour of the Google garage, everything started from below. It is the myth of the company that started from nothing done, without hoaxes and without any adornment. 1
