Spain wants to organize the European Championship of 2028 and the World Cup of 2030

The Spanish Football Federation proposes to organize the European Championship of 2028 and the 2030 World Cup as it was announced today after a meeting between local officials and FIFA President Gianni Infantino.
Luis Rubiales, president of the federation; Pedro Sanchez, head of the Government and the head of the governing body of world football held a meeting in which they highlighted several ideas. In the second visit of Infantino to the Iberian nation spoke of two possibilities: a single application, or another joint with Morocco and Portugal, the latter had greater consideration in order to overcome other options for the World Cup.
Spain has only a previous experience as the headquarters of the universal fair, when in 1982 it hosted the twelfth edition that saw it crowned Italy, winner in the final of the then Federal Republic of Germany.

The editions of 2022 and 2026 will take place in Qatar and the United States-Mexico-Canada, respectively, but in 2030, the centenary of the World Cups and Uruguay as the initial host, may be an option, although the rotation would correspond to Europe organize it
