Promoted by 'The Boston Globe', the initiative has had a massive following ranging from local headlines to the powerful 'The New York Times'. Between the companies that have been added they appear some of states where Trump prevailed in the presidential elections of 2016. According to the text published by 'The Boston Globe', the president has waged "a sustained assault on the free press" since he arrived at the White House in January 2017, despite the fact that the "greatness" of the United States depends on that the media can "tell the truth to the powerful". "Labeling the press as 'enemy of the people' is as anti-American as it is dangerous for the civic pact we have shared for more than two centuries," the editorial laments. The newspapers that have joined this mobilization respond to messages such as one published in February on Twitter by Trump and in which it charges directly against 'The New York Times' and the networks NBC, ABC, CBS and CNN. "The media of the 'fake news' are not my enemy, they are the enemy of the American people," he proclaimed then. 1
