Blexfraptor Posted August 12, 2018 Posted August 12, 2018 MVP Taylor finished with 27 points, followed by Nèstor Colmenares with 22 points, Heissler Guillent contributed 17 and Luis Bethelmy 12 Guaros de Lara traced the final series of the Professional Basketball League (LPB) and won the tournament title for the second consecutive year, defeating Trotamundos de Carabobo by 97-86, in the seventh and decisive match held in the Bolivarian Dome of Barquisimeto to burst, with Tyshawn Taylor erected as the Most Valuable Player of the Tournament (MVP). The Larenses came from behind, they were always down in the series after giving up matches one, three and five and, winning games two, four and six, to force the decisive game. The drama would not end there. A protest by Trotamundos after victory six, led to the suspension of the seventh duel that would initially be played on August 7. After meeting of the board of directors, it was decided that the clash would be held on Saturday the 11th, where finally those led by the coach Fernando Duró, raised the trophy that they also won last season. It was a round day for coach Duró, who led his 100th game in the League.
