The Japanese company Mitsubishi Electric today announced the development of the fastest elevator in the world, able to raise 119 plants in 53 seconds with a maximum speed of 73.8 kilometers per hour.

The elevator will be installed the next July in the tower of Shanghai, currently the tallest building in China and the second largest skyscrapers in the world with 623 meters, as announced by the Japanese company said in a statement.

The appliance will make the journey from the second floor of the tower to the plant 119 in less than a minute, assured Mitsubishi Electric.

The tip speed that can reach this elevator is 1,230 meters per minute or 73.8 kilometers per hour, which desbancaría to hoist faster existing in these moments, developed by the Japanese also Toshiba e installed in a building of Taiwan, and whose record figure in 1,100 meters per minute.

The elevator of Mitsubishi also exceeded in speed to another model announced by Hitachi in 2014, which will be installed in a skyscraper of Guangzhou 530 meters height currently under construction, and whose speed will amount to 1,200 meters per minute.
