Al Burj Khalifa has little time left as the tallest skyscraper in the world. This is at least what emerges from a press conference in Dubai gave Santiago Calatrava, where he presented his latest project, Dubai Creek Harbour Tower, which promises to become the new king of heaven. But although the Valencian architect gave details of his proposal, including the estimated cost and construction time, it was omitted an important fact: how high will finally this skyscraper. Because while the current record is 828 meters, they have already been announced towers over a kilometer high in other parts of the world. Whereupon, we will wait to see how many meters reach exacamente.

The work is part of a larger complex, approximately 6 km2, where multiple functions will be developed. In the specific case of skyscrapers, will have 20 floors of apartments, a hotel, several restaurants and indoor gardens. One of its greatest attractions is the viewpoint of 360 located in the highest part, the Hall of Pinnacle. It is estimated that the skyscraper will cost about 1,000 million dollars and will be completed for the World Expo 2020 to be held in Dubai.

As for the design, Calatrava was inspired by a classic reason for defining the aesthetics of the building: the silhouette follows the shape of the leaves of a lily flower. Around the building there will be a public square, by will connect with the rest of the complex. It is contemplated that the tower lights green and blue at night, becoming a landmark of the city night.
