Las motos voladoras, más cerca: la tecnología del futuro ya está casi lista, y este proyecto promete

At the risk of sounding like a movie, to a certain extent the reality is that flying motorcycles are part of that immediate future that also includes electric motorcycles, electric scooters and even bicycles.

Of all the ideas and projects for flying motorcycles, so far we have not seen any that have officially and legally taken the step of being approved or are close to doing so. Except for one: the closest option that there is right now in the world is the P2 Speeder from Jetpack Aviation.

Up to half an hour of autonomy and 100 km/h

Speeder 1 2023

Jetpack Aviation is an American company that in 2021 presented the Speeder with a view to the present 2023. It is a flying motorcycle in the broadest sense of the word, because even the driver's position is the same as that of a sports bike.

It is a street flying motorcycle with a military variant that uses eight small but powerful motors that allow it to reach up to 100 km/h in the air with a range of half an hour.

It weighs approximately 135 kg, and will also be used for cargo purposes, being able to carry twice its weight: up to 270 kg. It could also carry up to three people, but as it is in the ultralight category it will only be able to carry one person on board.

Safety is important in this flying motorcycle because the pilot would be exposed, like on a motorcycle, but in the air. For this reason it will be covered with a protective fuselage similar to that of a Formula 1 car to provide a safety envelope. According to the company, this would also allow the speed to be increased to 400 km/h, aided by the force of the wind with winglets that would help it reach the full hour of flight.
