-_-Moltres-_- Posted June 13, 2024 Posted June 13, 2024 LONG ISLAND (NY): Naseem Shah has termed the close loss against India as an unforgettable experience, saying that tears coming out of their eyes following the match were owing to missing a really good opportunity to win that particular match. During mixed-zone media interaction, Naseem said that those tears and agony were obvious. “Yes, tears came out of my eyes just because we were offered a cake walk which we could not accept. We should have won the match against India as the target was not all that challenging. Yet we failed. I was so upset at losing the opportunity that I could not control my emotions,” Naseem said. The fast bowler also showed concerns over the overall standing of the team. “We have lost two matches. We should have won the both. We came so close to winning matches against the US and India and yet we came out losers. It is very upsetting indeed.” When questioned as to whether he could have won those matches with the bat, he said he was no one to decide on the batting lineup. “It is for the team management to decide when to send a batsman and to what batting number of bowlers should be.” On Pakistan’s chances in the World Cup, he said it now all depends on the luck. “We have to admit that nothing is in our hands right now. Everything now rests with the fate. If we are lucky enough, the lady luck would support us and the results from here on would come through to our liking. Let us see how things would unfold from here on.” https://www.thenews.com.pk/print/1199839-naseem-rues-missing-golden-opportunity-against-india
