[Auto] A look at the V8 biturbo hybrid that will give life to the next Lamborghini Temerario

At Lamborghini things are also changing. Even smaller volume manufacturers focused on sportiness have to adapt to the times and that translates into movements such as the cessation of production of their legendary naturally aspirated V10. It's a real shame, but they are already looking to the future and showing for the first time the V8 biturbo hybrid that will replace said engine. It will be mounted on the successor to the Lamborghini Huracán, a car that has the internal code "634" and about which there are still not many details.

 

 

Despite this, we can already tell you that it will be called Lamborghini Temerario and that, of course, it will debut the 4.0-liter biturbo V8 with hybrid system that appears in the images. In addition to the combustion block, three electric motors and the eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox that recently debuted in the Lamborghini Revuelto will be incorporated. All this with a specific optimization for the supercar and with some peculiarities that are worth mentioning.

 

 

The V8 combustion engine is a masterpiece of engineering that can itself develop a maximum power of 800 HP. In fact, it has its red line placed at 10,000 rpm, a figure more typical of competition engines. The idea is to offer the great linearity of progression of the previous V10 along with the kick offered by double turbocharging. It boasts a maximum torque of 730 Nm between 4,000 and 7,000 rpm, something that will ensure superlative performance.

Because to the above we must add an electrical system that is placed on the rear axle and is capable of adding an additional 110 kW and 300 Nm to the combustion. The key has been to make this part have compact dimensions and reduced weight, although we will still have to wait to know its data. They also talk about the importance of sound so that the next Lamborgini Temerario does not lose personality. In a few months we will be able to hear and meet it for the first time, since its launch falls within 2024.
