[Software] The Microsoft Store now lets you download programs in EXE format, but with a big problem

First of all, we will tell you that a couple of years ago the software giant launched a new Microsoft Store website for Windows 10 and 11. This was one of the many moves made to encourage the use of the official Windows store. All this through the application included in the operating system or from this web version.

To date, installing applications on Windows from the store's website was not the most convenient. The process was somewhat cumbersome and uncomfortable. Hence the change and improvement that has just occurred. And now, when you click on the installation button on the website, an executable file is downloaded so you can click on it and carry out the installation, without further ado. The process is faster and more attractive for users. Furthermore, this new method works even if the store has been deleted from the PC.

At the same time, it is worth mentioning that parallel installations are supported, more than one at the same time, which is another interesting advantage. However, it has been detected that the Microsoft Store uses a .NET executable wrapper, which is always the same, for this process, and is full of telemetry. Basically, this means that the software giant spies on us on these downloads and sends the corresponding information to its servers.

As with the telemetry built into Windows itself, this is something that almost no one will like.
