We met the MG HS in China a few years ago and it was the great promise of Morris Garages, standing out for its well-achieved design and performance. It premiered in Chile during 2020, but the strong competition that came from China left it somewhat forgotten. That same year, its facelift was already released in China, with the name "Linghang".

This 2024, MG brings it to Chile, in order to align it more closely with its new products and to offer an alternative in the super-saturated Chinese SUV segment, where at least the HS has its own style and some details to stand out.

MG HS 2024: dimensions and design

Length: 4,610 mm
Width: 1,876 mm
Height: 1,685 mm
Wheelbase: 2,720 mm
Trunk: 463 L
The MG HS retains its muscular yet elegant silhouette, with some curves accentuating the rear wheel arches. Thanks to the new nose, its length grows a little, from 4,574 mm. The rest of the measurements are the same.

Since we are talking about the nose, we go from a front very similar to that of the MG ZS to a more modern one, closer to that of the GT and the One, which has graphite-colored edges in the Trophy version and vertical turn signals on the sides. The rear also has a redesign in the lighting graphics, as well as in the bumper.

As standard, all HS models include:

Full LED lighting, with automatic ignition and "Follow Me Home" function
rear fog lights
Electric mirrors, electrically foldable and with defroster
Bars on the roof
17" alloy wheels
The DLX model changes the wheels for 18" wheels, while the Trophy model has a different grille and logos alluding to the version.

MG HS 2024: interior

Although the brand pointed out aesthetic changes for the interior, upon reviewing it with previous photos, we found that there are absolutely no changes: not even the virtual cluster interface. At most, the seats in the Trophy model receive one or another touch-up, but there is nothing more. The only apparent change is the renewal of the multimedia system interface.

The COM model offers:

Eco-leather tapestry
Multifunction steering wheel covered in eco-leather (cruise control and audio)
Keyless access with power button
Front reading light
Remote trunk release
One touch windows in front seats
Air conditioning with rear vents
Multimedia system with 10.1" screen
