Flight Simulator.

Flight Simulator officially arrived in the year of the pandemic and since then it has been fulfilling the plans that Microsoft had in it, which is nothing other than transforming it into the reference of the flight simulator genre both on Xbox and, above all, on PC. And one of the commitments made to players was to obtain regular content updates.

And seeing new planes arrive is very good, because the range of experiences that are opening up is incredible: from commercial aircraft that are now flying the skies of the planet, to small planes, gliders, drones with four engines, helicopters, etc. Now, what is happening with the scenarios? How is Microsoft improving them little by little?

This is how it feels like flying
The other leg that Microsoft is taking care of is that of the scenarios, the cities around the world that, although as standard they are drawn based on a type of maps obtained from satellite photographs, seek to reproduce exactly what a specific enclave is like. Until today, those from Redmond had published four city updates and in the last few hours we have had a fifth that especially affects our country.

And if that were not enough, it will allow us to fly over and enjoy the views of a beautiful Cádiz that opens to the sea surrounded by its wall and that allows us to enjoy its skyline just as we would see it if we flew over it with some of the aircraft that Fligh has. Simulator. So you will no longer see pixelated textures or strange shapes on the ground, now the buildings and every small element of the city will be perceptible from practically any height.

Now, this fifth update not only has Cádiz as the protagonist, but also other cities in Europe and none of them are the ones you are imagining. Neither London, nor Paris, nor Barcelona, Madrid, Rome, Vienna, etc. appear in the pack that Microsoft has just launched, but The Hague (Holland), Brussels (Belgium), Košice (Slovakia) and Zagreb (Croatia).

Perfect packs to play in virtual reality
These packs are perfect for gaining realism with Flight Simulator, that's clear, but if there is one way in which it especially wins, it is when we enjoy it with virtual reality glasses on (it doesn't matter what monitor you have), since the detail It becomes more perceptible and a higher resolution is necessary to create the effect that what we are seeing is real. So for those who have these glasses, each new update allows you to go check it out as soon as it is published.

Remember that these scenario update packs are completely free and with the latest version of the Flight Simulator client installed we will already have it on the PC, or the console. In the case of airplanes, this is another matter because in many cases we are going to have to check out if we want to get the entire available collection. Something that many users have complained about but we fear that Microsoft is not going to change it.
