In the world of video games, the higher the FPS number the better, especially in first or third person shooter multiplayer games. Artificial Intelligence is found in operating systems, applications and even in components and peripherals for computers, and an example of how Artificial Intelligence is capable of improving the operation of devices is found in Samsung's new OLED monitor.

The Korean firm Samsung has presented two new OLED monitors, one 31.5 inches with 4K resolution and another 24 inches with 1440p resolution. Both models offer a refresh rate of 360 Hz and a response time of just 0.03 ms, all thanks to Artificial Intelligence.

Samsung is not the first manufacturer that has introduced the use of Artificial Intelligence in its monitors, since we can also find it within Gigabyte's AORUS range, although its function is limited to reducing the burning problems suffered by this type of screens. by always displaying a still image, such as the taskbar of any operating system that we use on our computer.

Samsung, in addition to using Artificial Intelligence to alleviate the burn-in effect of this technology like AORUS, also takes advantage of it to improve the refresh rate, reaching a record in OLED panels, since they are the first to provide up to 360 Hz. For They have used the patented Quantum Enhancer algorithm, which will also be available in the next range of smart TVs that it plans to launch on the market next year.

In addition to these two models, it also plans to launch a 27-inch model with 1440p resolution with the same 360 Hz refresh rate. In this way, it expands the range of options available to players with conventional and familiar models and covers any user need, although 1080p remains the favorite resolution.

In this sense, if we pay attention to Steam usage statistics, 60% of users use monitors with 1080p resolution, 16% enjoy their games in 1440p resolution while only 3.7% do so with 4K resolution. Samsung has started production of these new 31.5 and 24-inch models, but at the moment it is unknown when their market launch is planned, but most likely it will be shortly after their official presentation at the CES that is held every year. every year in the month of January in Las Vegas.

As we mentioned at the beginning of this article, Artificial Intelligence is little by little reaching devices in which initially it would not be possible to think about its implementation, such as hard drives. In addition to Samsung and Gigabyte, manufacturers RedMagic and TCL are also working on smart monitors and televisions that take advantage of the benefits of Artificial Intelligence.
