[Auto] Mercedes-Benz GLA 2024 in Chile, facelift arrived for the compact SUV

Mercedes-Benz presented in Chile the update of the GLA, a model that for now is its most compact SUV and is related to the A-Class (MFA2 platform). As a reminder, we are talking about the second generation of the GLA, which went from being a crossover (a "cross" version of the A-Class) to a full-fledged compact SUV, more competitive in its segment.

The second generation of the GLA debuted in Chile at the end of 2021 and we were able to test it during 2022.

To go into battle with the BMW X1, Mercedes focused on giving the GLA more character with some tweaks. Among the new features we find a sportier redesign of the bumper, headlights with new light graphics both front and rear, a hood with ribs (AMG style), a new color called Spectral Blue metallic and new wheel designs in 18 or 19 inches.

Returning to the headlights, these have High Performance LED technology as standard.

The brand offers two equipment levels, with some minor differences in the case of the 4Matic versions. The Progressive Line model is distinguished by:

More conservative look, with a less aggressive bumper
"Progressive" grill with vertical grid

 

Night Package: Replacement of all chrome accents with piano black (noticeable on window frames, mirror caps and bumpers)
Tinted glass with UV filter
18" wheels
AMG Line models add or modify:

AMG-style bumpers, with more prominent (false) air inlets
"Starred" grill
19" AMG wheels
Mercedes-Benz GLA 2024: interior

The interior doesn't change much, except for new Mercedes-Benz steering wheel designs, new finishes, better materials and a revision of the graphical interfaces. The best way to differentiate the different versions is by how they look, because the equipment is similar:
