[Auto] Hyundai introduces some improvements to the Tucson for next year

When the car sells well, it is not necessary to modify it much and that is precisely what Hyundai has done with the Tucson, only improve what is needed to continue staying current in its segment. We will see these changes quickly in Korea and Europe, but they will be dropped next year in the United States and if we are lucky, also in our country later.

Hyundai did not want to say much about the changes, since this is only a preview of the model's presentation, which is where they will reveal more details about the changes. On the outside at least, there is a discreet revision of the "Parametric Dynamics" language that has served as inspiration for many modern cars in different brands. In this case we see how the headlights and grille continue to be combined into a single integrated element, but with a straighter mask and a redesign of the DRL headlights that merge with it.

We also find a more angular bumper with an aluminum-colored finish at the bottom, which is something like a "skid plate" but elongated. There are no images of the rear, but we assume it will also receive some improvements. The wheels, as always, have a new design.

The interior changes

The most radical change is in the interior, where the previous scheme, of the "waterfall" type and with a surrounding bottom, gives rise to a horizontal design console.

Closer to what the brand already uses in other cars, such as the IONIQ 5 and the new Santa Fe.

The steering wheel stands out for eliminating the Hyundai logo and placing a horizontal bar with four points, which, as we learned in the IONIQ 5, represents the H for Hyundai in Morse code.

Everything digital is now concentrated in a panoramic panel above the vents (with two 12.3" screens), maintaining a cantilevered button panel below it. By moving the gear lever to a selector behind the steering wheel, The center console is also redesigned with a cantilevered compartment with the armrest, leaving a large space for a storage tray in the lower part.

We assume that there will be improvements in the driving assistance systems and also a new graphical interface with more functions.

The images correspond to the Korean model, so the export variants could have some differences. At least in its home market, two new colors will be offered (Fine Green Matte and Ultimate Red Metallic) plus an optional interior in three color tones.

Regarding the powertrain and versions, we will have to wait for later, but at least you know what to expect from the facelift of the Tucson for when Hyundai decides to bring it here.
