Football in Europe is in mourning after the confirmation of the death of Nedzad Mujagic, a local NK Sloga player, who was missing after the accident he suffered in a car with four other people in Bosanka. The body of the team captain was found in the river today by the Cormorant Canoe Club, who partnered with the USK Support Unit in an attempt to recover him. Three of the passengers had managed to swim to shore despite their injuries, while they are still searching for Adnan Fajic, the group's aide-de-camp. The vehicle was unrecognizable after the accident.

“Last night we managed to locate the car, and today, with the help of the USK Support Unit and others, we recovered the car, where we managed to find a person with the initials NM. Unfortunately, the other person was not in the car, so the search will continue in the coming days," detailed the statement from the Canoe Club Cormorant, regarding the result of the first tracking work, in which its components were essential due to their experience. and knowledge of the area, according to the Bosnian media.

 

 

“Dear friends and supporters of our club, it is with great sadness and regret that we inform you that our captain Nedzad Mujagic and assistant coach Adnan Fajic have tragically lost their lives. Last night there was a traffic accident in which five of our footballers participated. Unfortunately, this accident was fatal for our Johnny and our Ada, while the other three were saved. You left an indelible mark on our club and will remain forever in our hearts. May you have eternal mercy and may your family be well,” said Sloga, who plays in the Third Division of Bosnian soccer, although he has a history that showed him more exalted in other times.

NK Sloga, a traditional club founded in 1922, is in tenth place in the Eastern Conference of the category, 14 units behind the leader HNK Dakovo. The team that suffered the tragedy had played yesterday, at home: they lost 4-2 against NK NASK hours before the accident that took the life of the captain and, it is presumed, the assistant coach.
