The Toyota Corolla arrives on the local market with more safety equipment, improved connectivity and aesthetic changes. How much does the cheapest model cost?

 

 

The changes to this “new” Toyota Corolla are subtle but serve to update it and consolidate its virtues within a segment where options are becoming less and less. There is more safety equipment, improvements in connectivity and multimedia and some aesthetic updates.

 

The improvements of the Toyota Corolla 2024

The most important thing for the 2024 Toyota Corolla range is that it extends the ADAS (Safety Sense) package to all versions, something that was previously only available in the top SEG equipment. The system is made up of a camera and a radar and allows the sedan to incorporate a forward pre-collision system, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning and automatic high beams.

 

 

What engine does it have?

The Toyota Corolla was the first hybrid manufactured in South America in 2019 and together with its SUV brother, the Corolla Cross, it leads the sales of electrified vehicles in our market. Thus, the 2024 range of the sedan maintains the two hybrid variants (XEI and SEG), both with an eCVT type automatic transmission. For its part, the gasoline range uses the well-known and reliable 2.0 Dynamic Force with a double injection system that develops 171 HP and 203 Nm of torque.

 

 

Regarding aesthetic changes, the Toyota Corolla updated its front grille throughout the range, which now adopts a honeycomb style. This change is complemented by the 17-inch alloy wheels that have a new design in the SEG version.
