Clash Royale is an online strategy video game for mobile devices, created by the Finnish company Supercell.1 It was released globally on March 2, 2016.2 It is a freemium real-time strategy video game based on the characters of Clash of Clans. 3 Combines elements of collectible card games and tower defense.4

Development
The game was released in beta on January 4, 2016 in Canada, Hong Kong, Australia, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Iceland, Finland, and New Zealand and for iOS platforms. In February 2016 it was released for Android in some countries and was finally released on March 3, 2016 for everyone.

gameplay
Clash Royale is a tower rush video game that pits players against each other in games with two or four players (1v1 or 2v2) in which the objective is to destroy the enemy towers (if the King's Tower is destroyed the game is over. After three minutes, if both players/teams have the same number of crowns or none, the match continues in an overtime period of 1 minute (longer depending on the arena) and the player who destroys an enemy tower wins instantly, if not towers are destroyed during overtime, there is a tiebreaker, where all towers lose health quickly and the tower with the lowest health is destroyed

In Clash Royale, players are ranked based on their number of trophies. Players level up by gaining Experience points (or King Level) by donating and upgrading cards. The highest possible level currently is level 50. The December 2018 update added Star Points, for excessive experience when players reach the maximum level of that time.

Trophies are won or lost in multiplayer battles, a player wins a battle by destroying more towers than the opponent (each tower destroyed is represented as a 'crown'), or by destroying the opponent's King's Tower, resulting in an automatic "three crowns" "victory" (unless the King's Tower was destroyed at the same time by both players, resulting in a tie).

There are 20 arenas in total (Training arena not included): Goblin Stadium, Bone Pit, Barbarian Coliseum, Valley of Spells, Builder's Workshop, P.E.K.K.A. Fort, Royal Arena, Frost Peak, Jungle Arena, Hog Hill, Electrovalle, Spooky Town, Hideout of the Rascals, Sereno Peak, The Great Mine, The Executioner's Kitchen, Royal Crypt, Sanctuary of Silence, Dragon Hot Springs and Legendary Arena. A player unlocks "competitive" mode (the equivalent of leagues) after reaching 5,000 Trophies. There are 10 different leagues: Fighters I, Fighters II, Fighters III, Masters I, Masters II, Masters III, Champions, Grand Champions, Noble Champions, and Ultimate Champions.
