Draeno Posted June 5, 2023 Posted June 5, 2023 It has not been the expected debut. Sebastien Loeb had many hopes for his return to the World Rallycross Championship behind the wheel of the electric Delta, but a puncture prevented him from improving on the sixth final position at the event held in Montalegre (Portugal). The victory has been for the champion, Johan Kristoffersson, who is on his way to being crowned for the sixth time. All eyes were on the brand new Loeb Delta, which also surprised by appearing decorated with the same colors that made this model mythical in rallies. The French star evolved normally throughout the different sleeves, until he reached the final hungry for victory. But he suffered a puncture that dropped him to sixth place. "Many lessons to be learned from this round in Portugal to get closer to the podium, but the whole team can be proud of this result", assured the Frenchman. "I'm looking forward to arriving in Norway in fifteen days." Kevin Hansen and Niclas Gronholm, the son of the former two-time world rally champion and Loeb's great rival, accompanied Kristoffersson on the podium at the Portuguese event. A test in which a woman, Klara Andersson, a Cupra driver in Extreme-E, finished fifth, just ahead of the nine-time French world champion. https://as.com/motor/mas_motor/un-pinchazo-amarga-el-debut-de-sebastien-loeb-con-el-delta-electrico-n/
