The American “National Interest” website published a report comparing the two giant planes: the American B-2 and the Chinese H-20, wondering if the Chinese were competing or superior to the American or He endangered American lands that were inaccessible to China.

It's not clear if China's new H-20 bomber will fully rival the US B-2 bomber, said Chris Osborne, the site's defense editor.

While many details of the B-21 remain classified for security reasons as well, senior Air Force commanders said the bomber contained a new generation of stealth technology and could "endanger any target in the world at any time".

Almost undetectable
This indicates that the US Air Force is confident that the new B-21 will be able to succeed against more advanced air defense systems, as it is almost "undetectable".

The writer pointed out that it is not clear if the new Chinese H-20 bomber will fully compete even the American B-2 bomber. While the B-2 can be considered a somewhat outdated platform, years of Air Force upgrades have greatly altered this bomber's performance standards.

The B-2 is now built with what's called the Defense Management System sensor, which is designed to find enemy air defenses, allowing pilots to fly around those defenses. The B-2 is also equipped with a much faster computer processor and is being developed to accommodate new weapons, including the upgraded B-61 Mod12 nuclear bomb.

Finally, just as the H-20 has been reported, the B-2 and B-21 are both designed to carry and launch nuclear and conventional long-range cruise missiles like the Air Force's long-range combat weapon.
