[Politics] Two political parties renounce to participate in the internal elections

The United Peru Democratic Party and the Modern Peru Political Party announced their withdrawal from participating in the internal elections to elect candidates with a view to the Regional and Municipal Elections next October, reported the National Office of Electoral Processes ( ONPE ).

Through a management resolution (N° 000004-2022-GOECOR/ONPE), the organization received from the President of the National Electoral Body of the political organization the decision adopted by its National Executive Committee, to annul the call for the process of internal elections for the 2022 Regional and Municipal Elections.

A similar decision was made by the Modern Peru Political Party . The resignation was made official through Management Resolution No. 000005-2022-GOECOR/ONPE.
