To date, on September 27, on the territory of Romania, 122,673 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID - 19) have been confirmed.

 
98,607 patients were declared cured.

 
As a result of the tests performed at national level, compared to the last report, 1,438 new cases of people infected with SARS - CoV - 2 (COVID - 19) were registered, these being cases that had not previously had a positive test. The distribution by counties of the total and new cases can be found in the table below.

To date, 4,718 people diagnosed with COVID-19 infection have died.

Between 26.09.2020 (10:00) and 27.09.2020 (10:00) there were 31 deaths (21 men and 10 women) of patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Bacau, Bihor , Botoșani, Brăila, Brașov, Caraș-Severin, Dâmbovița, Dolj, Galați, Giurgiu, Gorj, Harghita, Hunedoara, Maramureș, Neamț, Olt, Prahova, Teleorman, Timiș, Vaslui and Bucharest.

Of these, 1 death was recorded in the age group 40-49 years, 2 deaths in the age category 50-59 years, 11 deaths in the age category 60-69 years, 7 deaths in the age category 70-79 years and 10 deaths in the category of over 80 years.

All deaths were from patients with comorbidities.

 

In the specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 7,408. Of these, 535 are hospitalized at ATI.

To date, 2,366,178 tests have been processed nationwide. Of these, 13,528 were performed in the last 24 hours, 7,909 based on the case definition and medical protocol, and 5,619 upon request.

In Romania, 10,058 people confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus are in isolation at home, and 7,200 people are in institutional isolation. Also, 24,602 people are in quarantine at home, and 179 people are in institutionalized quarantine.

In the last 24 hours, 961 calls were made to the unique emergency number 112.

 

As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55 of 15.05.2020 regarding some measures for preventing and combating the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, in the last 24 hours, 279 sanctions for minor offenses, amounting to 59,290 lei.

We remind the citizens that the Ministry of Internal Affairs has operationalized, starting with 04.07.2020, a TELVERDE line (0800800165) where violations of the sanitary protection norms can be notified.

The calls are taken over by a dispatcher, in an integrated system, and distributed to the territorial structures for the verification of the notified issues.

Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, 6,693 Romanian citizens were confirmed as infected with COVID-19 (coronavirus): 1,917 in Italy, 1,253 in Spain, 124 in France, 2,935 in Germany, 159 in Great Britain , 28 in Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 4 in USA, 119 in Austria, 20 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Switzerland, 3 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus, 93 in Greece, 5 in Cyprus, 2 in India, 2 in Ukraine and one each in Argentina, Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg, the United Arab Emirates, Malta, Brazil, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Sweden, the Republic of the Congo, Hungary and Qatar. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic and until now, 126 Romanian citizens abroad, 31 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 11 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the USA, one in Brazil, one in the Republic of Congo and one in Greece, have died.

Of the Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus, 428 were declared cured: 308 in Germany, 90 in Greece, 18 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.
