[M]anuel
Estonian Ott Tänak has been confident of having the pace to be able to fight to be among the best in the Swedish Rally. The Hyundai driver had to retire at the Monte Carlo Rally after damaging the radiator of his i20 after going off the track. Ott Tänak joined Hyundai Motorsport after claiming the WRC title in 2019 with Toyota and since then the Estonian seems destined to start each season on the wrong foot. So much so that Tänak has withdrawn from the three editions of the Montecarlo Rally that he has contested with the South Korean firm . In 2020 he suffered a very serious accident in his debut with the Hyundai i20 WRC Coupé, while in 2021 a double puncture deprived him of reaching the finish line. This year, at the premiere of the Hyundai i20 N Rally1, things have not gone much better . In fact, Tänak had to retire from the 'Monte' after damaging the radiator of his Hyundai i20 N Rally1 after making a mistake and having a small run off the track. An outcome that, together with the reliability problems that the 'Rally1' of the South Korean brand had, has drawn a series of doubts about the Hyundai project. However, Ott Tänak remains confident that both the car and himself have the pace to challenge for the WRC top spots this season . https://www.motor.es/noticias/ott-tanak-cree-hyundai-i20-n-rally1-puede-brillar-suecia-202284941.html
