The Constitutional Guarantees Commission did not obtain further contributions from the Secretary of Public Administration of the Presidency, Iván Correa, regarding the investigation called Pandora Papers and the alleged involvement of the president.

Faced with questions from assembly members Paola Cabezas and Victoria Desintonio (UNES), regarding their relationship and that of their family with offshore companies supposedly located in tax havens, the official neither gave details nor confirmed their participation in this type of operation.

The Secretary General for Communication, Eduardo Bonilla, was also invited to appear, but he excused himself from attending.

The secretary, Iván Correa, attended the Commission accompanied by the legal secretary of the Presidency, Fabián Pozo, and in addition to the session at least ten legislators from the National Agreement Group arrived, who closely monitored the questions formulated by the legislators of Correismo and of Pachakutik.

Despite the insistence of the legislators, in that appearance, the Commission did not obtain further contributions for its investigation, the deadline for presenting its report is November 6.

"I am only subject to answers to questions about the functions that I exercise as secretary general of the Public Administration", was the constant reply of the official.
