[M]anuel
The majority of Colombian workers do not have studies or have only finished high school and, for the most part, did not earn even half a minimum wage last year in the middle of the start of the pandemic, that is, little more than 400,000 pesos. How much do workers earn? According to data from the labor force and education that recently the Great Integrated Household Survey (Geih), prepared by Dane, just over half of Colombian employees, that is, 10.2 million people, earned the last year income equal to one minimum wage or less. This represents 51.1 percent of the employed workforce, which in 2020 reached 20.1 million people. When breaking this down, we find that 6.1 million, which is 30.6 percent of the employed, did not receive even half of a minimum, that is, 438,900 pesos per month, and that the number of people who obtained those revenues increased 11.3 percent compared to the year before the pandemic. The other 4.1 million workers (20.5 percent) earned between half a minimum and a minimum, which last year was 877,803 pesos. While 45 percent of employees did receive more than one minimum wage, 4.9 million people (24.7 percent of the total) earned less than one and a half minimum, and only 4.1 million (20.6 percent) actually was able to access more than a minimum wage and a half in Colombia, which represents a drop of 23 percent compared to the data of 2019, when there was no pandemic. link https://www.eltiempo.com/economia/sectores/cuantas-personas-ganan-un-salario-minimo-en-colombia-622702
