The law had been approved yesterday by the Congress of the Republic. The law bears the signatures of President Castillo and the president of the Council of Ministers, Guido Bellido. The publication occurs when the head of state is making a trip to Mexico and the United States. Parliament had approved the rule with 70 votes in favor, 32 against and 14 abstentions. The legal initiative had been presented by Congresswoman Gladys Echaíz (Alliance for Progress). The document incorporates article 112-A to Law 26842, General Health Law, referring to the fate of the corpses of deceased who were serving a sentence for treason or terrorism. MIRA: Iber Maraví: Minister will be questioned by Congress on September 30 “In the case of the corpse of an inmate who had been serving a sentence with a final sentence for the crimes of treason or terrorism, in his capacity as leader, ringleader or member of the leadership of terrorist organizations, whose delivery, transfer, burial or burial puts national security or internal order at risk, the competent prosecutor, in a reasoned and unchallenged decision, orders his cremation, after a necropsy, "says the document. “The Health Authority, in coordination with the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights and the Ministry of the Interior, executes the provisions within a maximum period of twenty-four (24) hours.
