With the participation of 10 candidates, the commission of the Chamber of Deputies in charge of forming the shortlists to elect the Ombudsman concluded the first day of the interviews.

For this afternoon at 2:00, the commission of the Ombudsman chaired by Deputy Pedro Tineo will resume the evaluations with 10 other applicants.

On the morning of this Tuesday, the politician Ana Josefa Felipe Divanne (Annie Felipe) participated, who led her proposal in education and communication so that the po[CENSORED]tion knows the body and her faculties.

She said that she would develop programs to educate school and university students about the role of the ombudsman. She also promised that she would create an online communication and complaint mechanism so that citizens can express themselves and claim their rights.

In the interviews, the applicant Ramón Bienvenido Martínez Portorreal considered that the Ombudsman's Office should be an organization that reaches all corners of the country with an adequate budget.

He promised that he would do his best to strengthen state policy.

In the same vein, Jazhieel Pimentel Martínez expressed himself, who proposes taking the ombudsmen to the provinces to facilitate greater access to the po[CENSORED]tion of their services when they feel their rights are violated.

Elizaberth del Rosario Rodríguez was inclined, among other proposals, to favor the protection of women's rights, the execution of campaigns to raise awareness on the issue of violence against women, as well as to ensure that officials comply with their homework.
