HiTLeR
US President Donald Trump said that a decision to ban the applications "TikTok" and "WeChat" will start as of next Sunday. Larry Kudlow, the White House economic advisor, had announced earlier that the United States was conducting a "deep review" of the deal concluded by Oracle with the Chinese parent company of the po[CENSORED]r video recording application TikTok. Kudlow said that "security and property" are important factors in the review process from President Donald Trump's viewpoint, according to Reuters. ByteDance is in discussions with both Oracle and Walmart to obtain stakes in the US operations, and this represents a departure from the deal, which nearly completed several weeks ago, worth between 20 and 30 billion dollars. The deal collapsed after China backed down, saying ByteDance needed to agree to a deal that included exporting the AI technology used by TikTok. ByteDance made a proposal to avoid selling US assets or all tik tok - which Trump said is necessary to avoid the ban - due to talks with the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) and Treasury officials. ByteDance counts that its proposal with Oracle addresses the concerns of the US Commission on Foreign Investment (CFIUS) based on the nature of the US government's concerns about data sharing.
