The flag of the bulk carrier was lifted today, December 9, 2019. This is the third vessel of such tonnage owned by the BMF. It is named Buzludzha and is part of the Bluetech 45 project, which is already delivering very good performance on the first two ships in the series: Plana and Midjur, the company said. BMF Shipping Company received its second 45,500 tonne vessel The first captain of the ship is the FGC. Gancho Hristov, and the first chief mechanic - Eng. Dimitar Ganchev. The ship's first voyage will start from a port in South Korea, where it will accept cargo for a port in Europe. Buzludzha is also the third ship of this name in the history of Navigation Company BMF. The first is a 100-ton ship built in Varna in 1945, used until 1960 for sailing in the Black and Eastern Mediterranean. In 1961, it was decommissioned and rebuilt as a motorized sailboat named Pioneer. The second Buzludzha is a 13,904 tonne ore carrier built in Japan in 1968. It is one of the record-breakers in terms of duration of operation at Navigator BMF AD. Sails to 2009 BMF Navigation will fill its fleet with a total of six vessels under the Bluetech 45 project, all of which will respect the tradition of bearing the names of Bulgarian mountains and mountain peaks.
