Dark Posted September 27, 2019 Posted September 27, 2019 The representatives of 21 business associations associated with CONFIEP; among them, the Chambers of Commerce of Lima, Arequipa, Cajamarca, Lambayeque, La Libertad, Ica and Tacna, indicated their disagreement with the project for the advancement of elections proposed by the President of the Republic. "It is time to continue with the political and justice reforms initiated. It is time to implement the competitiveness and infrastructure plans that this government rightly promotes," the business associations said in a statement. The businessmen invoked the dialogue between the Executive and Legislative powers that guarantee the governability of the country, in favor of the entrepreneurial and working citizens. As recalled, the advance of elections to 2020, was raised by President Martín Vizcarra during his message to the nation, on July 28, and three days later he presented the initiative to Parliament. However, this morning the Constitutional Commission of Congress approved with 15 votes to archive the project. 1 Quote
