This series is one of the best sci-fi shooters of all time, comparable to the likes of Halo, but the way the Mass Effect story was developed is quite different. As commander of Shepard, you ascend to become the largest soldier in the galaxy and lead to all-out war to stop an old ruthless enemy: the Reapers. Compared to Halo and other sci-fi shooters, Mass Effect tries to bring some sort of game interaction to the story story. Based on the player's responses to each conversation and task, the story changes the pace and direction. But this is not just the story it sells, it is the full play of the heart of the Mass Effect series which keeps the player busy for hours and hours.
