Mr.Espinoza ♔♔♔
Hummer was an off-road car brand belonging to the General Motors group. The first model is a derivative of the Humvee, a vehicle for military use. On February 26, 2010, General Motors announced that it had conversations with several owners interested in acquiring the brand after the failed attempt at negotiations with Sichuan Tengzhong, 2 1 However, the company had announced its interest in dismantling the factory and selling it On the other hand, on April 7, 2010, General Motors officially terminated the manufacture of the Hummer SUV brand and offered attractive offers to sell the remaining 2,200 vehicles. History The HMMV was originally manufactured by AM General Corporation, the former engine division for the US government and military. AM General decided to start selling vehicles for civilians in the late 1980s. In 1990 two paired white Hummer were driven by the central part of the Soviet Union. The Hummers made the road without any problem, since they were designed to be driven by off-road terrain. With the success of the trip the Hummer spread more in the United States. This diffusion would be paled in comparison with HMMWV services in Operation Desert Storm the following year. In 1995 AM General began marketing the M998 version of the HMMWV under the Hummer brand. According to legend, AM General made the decision after Arnold Schwarzenegger told them that an HMMWV convoy impressed him when he acted as a police officer in the movie Kindergarten Cop in 1992. In 1998 AM General sold the brand name to General Motors although he continued manufacturing vehicles GM was responsible for the sale and distribution of all Hummer manufactured by AM General. In the following years, GM designed two smaller models and fit for personal use, the H2 and the H3, and renamed the original model with the name of H1. AM General continued to build the H1, and was convinced by GM to also make the H2. The H3 is built in Shreveport, LA alongside the Chevrolet factories in Colorado. Since October 10, 2006 Hummer has been producing H3 vehicles at its factory in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, for export to Australia, Europe, the Middle East and Japan. Since October 2006 there are 300 Hummer dealers in 34 different countries, of which 174 are located in the United States. Since June 2004, H2 are also produced in Russia, by Avtotor. The factory produces a few hundred cars a year, its sale is regulated to local demand. On May 12, 2006 GM announced that production of the H1 was going to stop. The chief executive of General Motors, Edisson Cruz Molina, has announced that Hummer will run in SUVs that use biodiesel as fuel, since the huge amount of fuel he consumes has been a workhorse for his detractors. Although the body parts and the chassis are from a Latin American country (Venezuela) and the assembly is Chinese, the brand is American. GM's HUMMER brand reported in Detroit that the Sichuan Tengzhong Heavy Industrial Machines Co. (Tengzhong) company "could not finalize the acquisition of Hummer" and so GM will make the orderly closure of Hummer's operations.
