Apple presented this Monday at its Worldwide Developers Conference 2019 (WWDC) the new Mac Pro, whose cost is 5,999 dollars and which it claims to be the most powerful of all time.

Together with this team, the Pro Display XDR was presented, a 32-inch screen with 6K resolution, the cost of which is $ 4,999.

At the current Fix exchange rate (19.76 pesos per dollar), the 10 thousand 998 dollars that cost to have both devices, derive in a total of 217 thousand 320 pesos.

 

What is it for?= 

If you are not a professional in video editing or graphic design, it may not work much for you.

This computer is aimed at professional users such as movie editors, designers, among others. That is, as Tim Cook clarified at the conference, it is not a device for domestic use but a computer designed for large companies in sectors such as entertainment.

The Mac Pro, available in the fall of this year, will work with the new 'Catalina' operating system. It has a 28-core Intel Xeon processor and a graphics accelerator card called 'Afterburner'.

That accelerator card is capable of decoding up to 6,300 million pixels per second.

It includes 12 slots with a capacity for the computer to reach 1.5 TB of RAM. The computer has 32 GB of startup RAM.

Its storage is 256 GB and is scalable up to 4TB. It has two 10 GB Ethernet ports per second. It has 8 storage expansion slots and claims to have ‘the most powerful graphics card in the world’.

The Mac Pro is made with a stainless steel frame and an aluminum housing that can be removed to access the interior of the system without obstacles. It includes a pair of handles to be easily transported. The grid or holes that are seen in the design are made to optimize cooling and minimize noise.

Some brands that have already developed applications that take advantage of the power of this computer are Blackmagic, dedicated to the creation of professional film cameras with a real-time 8K editing program and Maxon Cinema 4D that improves the rendering times of the GPU ( graphics processing unit) 20 percent faster when compared to a workstation of another brand.
