Akrapovic Posted June 5, 2019 Posted June 5, 2019 It responds to the demands of a market in constant evolution and supports mobility with zero emissions. Because the future of mobility will be dominated by electric vehicles, SEAT is heading towards this direction with the presentation of its first zero emission car: the Mii electric. This new model that marks history within the Spanish brand, is the perfect car for large cities, since in addition to offering a 100 percent electric drive, it has a practical size, an affordable price and a low cost of ownership. Composed of a five-door hatchback body, this SEAT Mii electric has a design that does not resemble any of the models in the range. This means that it is not an Ibiza or a Leon with an electrical system, but rather it is a completely new vehicle.Inside, it adopts an innovative decorative molding in the stablero, LED ambient light, heated sports seats, black leather finish on both the gear lever and the handbrake and steering wheel. We reach the core point of this car, which is the electrical system. Equipped with an electric motor, the Mii electric has 61 kW, that is, 83 hp that go hand in hand with an impressive instant torque of 212 foot pounds. This amount of energy makes the 0 to 50 km / h do 3.9 seconds. Regarding autonomy, the 36.8 kWh lithium-ion battery pack allows the vehicle to roll up to 260 kilometers on a single charge. When the Mii electric breaks into its key markets (Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, France, Spain, Austria, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Italy, Belgium, Denmark, Finland and Sweden), it will do so as one of the cheapest electric vehicles in the world. market. Making an analogy, this vehicle has a cost similar to that of an equivalent internal combustion engine car. At the same time, the total cost of ownership is much lower (battery electric vehicles need less maintenance), which will revolutionize the customer's perception of alternative propulsion technology. SEAT will begin production of the Mii electric in Bratislava, Slovakia, in the fourth quarter of 2019 and will enter the market by the end of 2019.After the launch of this small electric car, in the near future, other models will join the SEAT electric range, including el-Born 100 percent electric, and plug-in hybrid versions of Tarraco and León, as well as the CUPRA Formentor and the CUPRA León.
