2018, the best year in Porsche history: the Germans have delivered over 255,000 cars. SUV Macan, the first in customer preferences

In 2018, Porsche delivered 256,255 new cars globally, up 4% from 2017. Last year, the Macan SUV was the most po[CENSORED]r model in the range of the German builder, with over 86,000 units delivered.

Porsche continues to achieve good results, and in the year that has just ended, the Germans have managed to check a new record of deliveries: 256,255 units. Thus, the Stuttgart builder improved its result in 2017 by 4%.

And in 2018, Porsche Macan was the most po[CENSORED]r model in the range of the German manufacturer. The SUV of the Germans was delivered in 86,031 units, down 11% from 2017.

Second place in public preference was Porsche Cayenne. The largest SUV in the Porsche range reached 71,458 customers in the garages, thus achieving a 12% increase over the 2017 result.

The last stage of the podium is occupied by Porsche Panamera. 38,443 Panamera copies were delivered globally in 2018, up 38%. Last year, the Porsche 911 raised 35,573 orders (+ 10%), while the 718 Boxster / Cayman gathered 24,750 orders (-1%).

The Chinese market remains the best for the Stuttgart builder. In 2018, the Germans delivered 80,108 units in China, up 12% from 2017. In the US, last year's deliveries totaled 57,202 vehicles, up only 3%, while deliveries in Europe fell by 4% . The Germans say that switching to the new WLTP cycle was the main reason for the decline recorded on the Old Continent.
