Angrry.exe™
You probably know that when manufacturers announce the results in benchmark tests of new products there is the possibility that they are artificially swollen. There are many ways that manufacturers can do it in order to put their products in a positive light. They could only choose the tests in which their product is doing better or they could do it to cheat. Huawei admitted he was doing this with his phones, for example. Intel is the company that has stumbled and inflated the performance of the new i9 processor. And he did it as obviously as possible. Intel hired Principat Technologies to make a whitepaper documenting the gaming excellence of the Intel i9-9900K and i7-8700K in front of the AMD Threadripper 2990Wx, 2950X and Ryzen 7 2700X. This document shows that Intel processors are up to 50 percent more performance than AMD in gaming, especially in Ashes of the Singularity. The problem is that Intel results are higher than expected, and the performance of the Ryzen 7 2700X processor is lower than it should be. That's because the Principle Technologies did some wrong things. First of all, in tests, Ryzen systems did not have XMP or extreme memory profiles enabled. XMP is used to achieve maximum performance and is directly related to RAM speed. Without XMP, a Ryzen system has a 5-15% lower performance. Tests were also made with a GTX 1080 Ti video card and a 1080p resolution. This is a weakness for Ryzen systems. Sure, 1080p is the most common resolution, but tests have to be done at 1440p and 4K, and Principled Technologies did not do that. Thirdly, for the two Ryzen systems, the "Game Mode" mode has been enabled which can have serious side effects on gaming performance. For example, on Ryzen 7, this mode lowers the number of kernels by half, and therefore AMD recommends using mode only for Threadripper, not for Ryzen processors. It is clear that Intel / Principled Technologies intentionally designed AMD processors to perform worse than Intel's. What's strange is that they did so in a way so obvious and easy to detect.
