Angrry.exe™
In the MechCon 2018 event, which took place during the weekend in Vancouver, Canada, Piranha Games has revealed that they have begun to launch MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries, the first single-player game of the past 15 years , in September next year. Participants to MechCon 2018 could try a demo version of the game, a new trailer for MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries being also released (you can watch it below). MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries is built around a campaign that will be based on the player's choices. The story will begin in 3015, the protagonist being a rookie mercenary thrown into the fires of the Third Succession War struggle, which is likely to destroy the Inner Sphere, the colonized region around the planet Earth. Battlefield skill will not be enough to survive, and the game will provide a complex financial management and maintenance component for BattleMechs combat robots. The game is developed with the Unreal Engine 4 graphic engine by a separate Piranha Games team, different from the one for MechWarrior Online, the already existing free-to-play multiplayer title based on CryEngine. MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries is expected in September 2019, with the game coming out on the PC with support for NVIDIA DLSS technology (Deep Learning Super Sampling) and cooperative mode for up to four players.
