River Plate has a team with more experience in the Copa Libertadores of America than Boca Juniors according to age, the number of matches played and the achievements of the members of each team.

The team led by Marcelo Gallardo, who has already won the Copa Libertadores as a player (1996) and as a coach (2015), surpasses his opponent in average age (almost 29 years), in number of games played and in players who won the most important tournament in South America.

Captain Leonardo Ponzio is the biggest player of the "Millionaire" with 36 years, Jonatan Maidana is the winner with two editions (2007 with Boca and 2015 with River) and also shares the trio of players with more games played in the tournament with 58 presences with Lucas Pratto and Rodrigo Mora.

The set of Núñez also has Franco Armani and Enzo Pérez, two other players who know what it is to win the Copa Libertadores but with another institution. The goalkeeper got it with Atlético Nacional (2016) and the Mendoza midfielder with Estudiantes de La Plata (2009).

Boca Juniors, meanwhile, has as driver Guillermo Barros Schelotto, who lifted the Copa Libertadores as a player "xeneize" in 2000, 2001 and 2003 and will try to achieve it for the first time as a coach.

The team of the "Mellizo" has an average age barely above 27 years and his most "copero" player is Carlos Tevez, who has not yet secured the title in tomorrow's superfinal at the Monumental stadium.

The "Apache", 34, played 53 matches of the Copa Libertadores and won it in 2003 with the team of Carlos Bianchi. Just below appears the captain Pablo Pérez, with 40 presences in the maximum South American championship.

The institution of La Ribera has on the campus other experienced players such as Fernando Gago (32 years old) and two others who won the Copa Libertadores with San Lorenzo in 2014, the wingers Emmanuel Más and Julio Buffarini.

A separate paragraph deserves the Colombian Sebastián Pérez, champion of the Libertadores with Nacional de Medellín in 2016 and currently at Pachuca de México, although his pass belongs to Boca and he played with the "Xeneize" shirt in the current edition in the group stage.
